About Cathy & DD

Over the past few years, I've made many great friendships, with both writers and readers. Recently, I joined a group called Romancing Yesteryear. You can find us on the web at www.romancingyesteryear.com, on facebook, and on twitter @ryauthors.
There are several great things about this group, including the fun blogs and diverse genres. From Vikings and pirates, medieval knights, and Highlanders, to Regency England, Romancing Yesteryear has something for every historical bookworm.
It also has a newsletter! If you're interested in finding out all the fun on-dits about our books, sign up! It's easy!
Also, you may have noticed the words 'Tom Chittick photography' in the lower right of many of the photos on the website. A few years ago, I came across Tom on fb. He was a guide at Eilean Donan Castle and a fabulous photographer. I asked if it would be possible to use a couple of his photographs on my website. He graciously told me to use whatever photos I wished, just please keep his name on them. Tom has since passed, but I remember him each time I see one of his photos. Rest gently, Tom.

Fun Facts about Cathy:
I have visited Scotland and will go back! Hopefully several times.
I did eat haggis while there. Not bad, though the whisky sauce (and perhaps a glass or two of wine) improved the flavor.
I am owned by three German Shepherds and an orange tabby cat.
Most of my life has been spent in the Deep South, though I have lived in several states.
Currently, I live on the sunny side of the Arbuckle Mountains.
I love gardening and bird-watching.
I am a member of RWA, Celtic Hearts Romance Writers, Celtic Rose Writers, and Celtic Writers' Circle, and my local chapter of RWA, NTRWA.
I grew up amid a pack of collies, and The Highlander's Outlaw Bride contains a colley (Collie) as a secondary character- you can see him on the book's cover.
There is a dog or cat in each of my books.

. . . And a bit about DD
With more than 35 years of martial arts training and a deep love of history, DD draws on personal experience to shape characters and story lines. DD's story, Highland Escape, won the coveted Golden Claddagh contest in 2012, though it went through a bit of a re-write and edit before being published in 2015.
DD is also an avid musician whose favorite instruments are guitar and bass, with an ear for an endless array of music.
DD enjoys reading many genres of books and is a super-fast reader who can tuck away a novel a day--if time permits.
DD counts 4 beautiful daughters and 5 adorable granddaughters as family, along with an assortment of dogs and one some-times annoying cat.
