                  The Prince's Highland Bride
Book #6 in the Hardy Heroines series

Phillipe of Antioch first appeared very briefly in The Highlander's Crusader Bride. As a   true historic character, we left him to finish out his life, and did not revisit him for some   time.
And then one day, we dug deeper into what actually happened to Phillipe of Antioch, son   of Bohemond IV of Antioch, and (briefly) king of Armenia (Cilicia)...

Though the history books agree Phillipe met his end by poisoning only 2 years after he   married the child queen of Armenia, there was some disagreement over why. Was he the   arrogant, conceited man who deserved to be removed (albeit poisoning was a bit harsh)   from the throne of Armenia? Did he marry the young queen only for political reasons as   was accused?   Did he favor his French advisors and refuse to adhere to the rites of the   Armenian Church despite his promise?
Or, was he hounded by the queen's regent and forced to find support from his father, the   powerful Prince of Antioch? Could he have been so adored by his young wife that she refused to remarry after his death? We found evidence of a conspiracy against him lead by none other than the queen's previous regent and other high dignitaries of the court who had lost power when Phillipe and Zabel married. Intrigue upon mystery upon discrepancy.
And our question that prompted this fictional re-telling of the tale was - what if Phillipe did not die in the dungeon of Sis Castle? What if another was buried in his stead . . . and Phillipe, pronounced dead by the Bishop and forever lost to Armenia and Antioch, followed another path?

The Penitent: De Wolfe Pack Connected World

Simon de Bretteby is one of The Saint’s closest friends and most loyal soldiers. His entire   life has revolved around service to Lord de Wolfe’s nephew—except for one summer when   he was ordered across the Scottish border to put a stop to a rogue chieftain who’d stolen   cattle from an English lord. Injured and separated from his men, de Bretteby had little   chance of survival, but a kind-hearted Scottish lass boldly healed his body, though he left   his heart in her keeping.

Iseabal Maxwell, daughter of Chief Maxwell’s bastard son, has little love for English soldiers —and even less love for clan politics. With her sister ordered to wed as a pawn for peace   along the border, Iseabal expects the same bleak future. As relations between the two   nations grows ever more strained, defying her father’s orders by saving the life of an   English knight risked much. But letting him go was one of the hardest thing she has ever   done.

Now her life lies in ruins—her father dead after the English besieged their home, her fate decided by a man she fears.

What will happen when she appears on Simon’s doorstep, carrying secrets she would die to protect?

 The Highlander's Welsh Bride

It was over. Prince Llywelyn was dead, his soldiers fleeing before   King Edward’s army. Carys, a cousin to the prince, herself   a  princess of Wales, had picked up arms alongside her husband   more than a year ago. Now homeless, her husband buried   beneath  the good Welsh soil, she seeks shelter in the north, far   from the reach of Longshanks’ men. Carys and Wales would never   be the same again.

It was time. Birk MacLean has been ordered to take a bride and   produce an heir. He grows weary of the lasses paraded before   him, women of delicate nature and selfish motives. He desires a   wife strong enough to help lead one of the most powerful clans   in  Western Scotland.

One like the Welsh woman sitting in his dungeon, arrested for poaching MacLean deer.

Can Birk convince Carys marriage to him is preferable to a hangman’s noose? And will the heard-headed Scot be worthy of a Princess of Wales?

From the towering Welsh mountains to the storm-swept Scottish coast comes a tale of betrayal and loss, deceit and passion. An epic tale of honor and the redeeming power of love.

"...THE HIGHLANDER'S VIKING BRIDE is a fun, light and easy read. I really enjoyed it. I think I was at chapter 10 before I finally took my nose out of the book...I always enjoy Ms MacRae's stories and this one is no exception. It's a great beach or weekend read. I especially liked the Viking bits. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes the Highlander or Viking setting.

Celtic Dragon Book Reviews
I love reading about Vikings and I like how the story has Highlanders as well with a good dose of history with both cultures. It's definitely an adventure to read!...this is a delightful read for those looking for an exciting, breathless story--one that shows and glories in the strength of the human spirit. I look forward to more from these authors!

I was known for a time as Hugh MacLeod. I was only sixteen when I joined the glorious cause that ended not only Prince Charles’ bid for the Scottish throne on the bloody field of Culloden, but my life and secrets as well.

Too young to enlist, I followed my older brothers into the Glengarry Regiment, hiding from them until I faced the English and `twas too late to turn back.

Though I’d prefer my boon to be a chance to deflate the Duke of Cumberland’s arrogance for what he did to my family after the war, I will settle for a few moments with the prince.
